Clare Ecolodge is centrally located in the East Clare region on the side of the Slieve Aughty mountain range. We are surrounded by valleys and hills. There are about 30 – 40 lakes in a 10 mile radius from the Ecolodge.

The East Clare way is on our doorstep making us an ideal base for exploring the countryside on foot or by bicycle. There is an usually high quantity of roadways in this expansive but under populated area of Ireland, including back roads and forestry roads. Our roadways are some of the quietest in the country. There are many looped walking and cycling routes to choose from and ranging in all levels of difficultly and duration. Although more and more people are coming to East Clare it still remains untouristic and is not overcrowded. You can get a real sense of the beauty of the undisturbed Irish countryside.

We have facilities for individuals, couples, families and groups. Feakle village has 4 bars and 2 restaurants for you to unwind in after a day exploring the beauty and tranquility of County Clare. In the evenings there are traditional music sessions in the local pubs at least 3 times a week and there is also set dancing classes. There are also a lot of holistic therapists available for consultations.
