Clare Ecolodge at Loughnane’s is a unique family-run guest accommodation experience. We also offer group and self-catering accommodation as well as residential courses.

The buildings, designated as historically significant, have been in the family for over 100 years and the most recent renovation was in 2018. Our renewable energy system means we produce over 60% of our electricity and hot water in a sustainable way on site. We aim to be 95 -100% sustainable by 2022. On the farm we grow our own food. There is high-speed, fiber broadband throughout the premises.

Clare Ecolodge offers a wide variety of accommodation to suit the needs of individuals and groups visiting County Clare for in-house residential courses, nearby activities or who use the village as a base to explore the wild and beautiful landscape of the West and Mid-West region. We are an ideal venue forĀ  intimate weddings, group get-togethers, retreats and co-working trips.

We are ideally located from which to discover the County Clare countryside. We are located on the foothills of the Slieve Augthy mountain range. On our doorstep is the East Clare walkway and there are plenty of cycling loops on quiet roads from the village. Lough Derg is 10 minutes away and The Burren and coast are 40 minutes drive. There are many local sites to visit and activities available. Steeped in history and heritage, the area is known for its fine walks, stunning lakes, rugged mountains and of course its vibrant Irish traditional music scene.

Clare Ecolodge offers a unique blend of tranquillity and fun giving guests a memorable rural Ireland experience. Although tourism numbers are increasing this hidden gem still remains off the beaten track.
